Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Mainstream school in Birmingham. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation to ensure inclusive learning environments
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support children's learning
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Certificates in manual handling and ability to perform personal care tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
