Chelmsford City Council has created an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified surveyor or someone who is studying to become qualified. The successful applicant will join the Property Services team at the Council and will work on a varied commercial portfolio of operational and investment properties with a value in excess of £175m. You will also receive the guidance and training required to fulfil the requirements of the APC pathway if required.

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate a background in property having worked on landlord and tenant matters, valuation, or asset management projects, however the successful applicant will be supported and work as a team member to deliver the best outcomes for Chelmsford. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career within a progressive authority and opportunities may be given to develop specific areas of responsibility commensurate with career aims.

The successful applicant will undertake a wide variety of work encompassing all areas of landlord and tenant, valuation and progressing development opportunities for the Council and its partners. As part of the team, the post holder will provide support on a range of projects ensuring all necessary actions are taken to maximise value, minimise operational costs / liabilities and promote efficiency of the estate.
