Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, focusing on commercial management within our ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Managing Quantity Surveyor and the Commercial Team to oversee the complete commercial lifecycle of contracts.
- Enhance relationships with Business Unit and Project Managers while ensuring compliance with commercial applications.
- Focus on comprehensive project cost and value reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments by referencing the project risk management plan and maintaining the risk register.
- Oversee sub-contractor management, ensuring all quotations and applications are compliant and submitted timely.
- Facilitate the selection and securing of services through diligent documentation and coaching of junior Quantity Surveyors.
- Expand knowledge of commercial matters and contract law to effectively manage compensation events and claims.
- Propose and implement processes aimed at enhancing accuracy and efficiency in commercial operations.
- Support the team in recovering contract costs and improving project profitability by identifying variations and delays.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and forecasts in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams.
- Develop negotiation skills and participate in handover and progress meetings as required.
- Contribute to the creation of a site commercial manual and documentation for variations.
- Conduct monthly reporting for both clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring thorough variance analysis and cash collection.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

- In-depth knowledge of contract costing and law (NEC 3 & 4, Options A, C & E).
- Experience in Quantity Surveying and contract management.
- Ability to capture site records for variations and valuations.
- Strategic thinking and motivational leadership capabilities.
- Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Project management and business analysis expertise.
- Full Clean UK Driving License.
