As a People Officer, you will be an integral part of our People and OD Team, providing specialist workforce advice and ensuring the consistent application of our workforce policies across the organisation. You will work both autonomously and collaboratively to support managers and staff in achieving our corporate objectives, all while navigating the intricacies of employment law and statutory requirements.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months.

Main duties of the job

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in an operational HR role.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent, with evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in workforce advisory roles within medium-sized organisations.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and the ability to apply it to workforce policies.
  • Experience in handling employee relations cases and conducting investigations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • High level of confidentiality, diplomacy, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in delivering training to managers and staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
