Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual with a positive, proactive attitude to join a dynamic and expanding research centre which is new to Cambridge.

The University has received funding for one of three Hubs in Telecommunications, named 'Platform Driving the Ultimate Connectivity' (TITAN). The TITAN consortium comprises 16 UK universities, each with distinct domain expertise in telecommunications. The University of Cambridge, through its LiFi Research Centre (LRC), is leading TITAN. The aim of this Hub is to lay the foundations for the future 'network of networks' and to translate this research into emerging global standards, such as 6th generation (6G) wireless networks. Additionally, the University is involved in the second Telecoms Hub, 'All-Spectrum Connectivity' (HASC), which is led by the University of Oxford, along with several other publicly funded projects aligned with TITAN.

The TITAN Hub is based within the Electrical Engineering Division at West Cambridge and we are seeking an experienced Research Coordinator to provide coordination support for all ongoing projects and management of the day-to-day operations of the LRC.

You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of all administrative and financial matters as well as overseeing recruitment processes and arranging travel and workshops. You will also support the development of new project proposals stemming from the research in these projects and be required to provide cover for the Executive Assistant as necessary.

Educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification, or an equivalent level of practical experience, you will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office, with excellent organisational skills. Previous administrative experience within a role in higher education, as well as an understanding of research coordination are essential. Ideally, this experience would have been gained from a background in a similar role in the University. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary pre-requisites for this role.

If you think you are the ideal candidate for this role, we would be delighted to hear from you.
