Psychology Graduate - Southwark & Westminster - September 2024

Are you a Psychology Graduate who would like to work with children in SEN schools and provisions with behavioural & mental health needs? Are you seeking a full time role working with children with additional needs from September 2024 for the full academic year?

  • Full time contracts until July 2025
  • TERM TIME ONLY

As a specialist graduate teaching assistant, you will be working with children on a 1 to 1 basis. The children that you will be working with will all have a variety of additional needs. You will be working with pupils in the classroom and in specialist 1:1 mentoring sessions. This school will offer excellent support and training to all new starters.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, research methodologies, and ethical practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software or tools for data analysis or research purposes.
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to undergo the process.
