The College of Medicine & Dentistry are looking to appoint academic staff/programme lead in the Orthodontics discipline. The primary role will be the provision of clinical and non-clinical teaching and support for the Master of Science (MSc) students in Orthodontics discipline (full-time provision). In addition, you will be expected to take part in a range of clinical and non-clinical postgraduate educational activities.
The post is ideally suited to academic dentists with experience and interest in the education of postgraduate students.
Summary of Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver didactic, practical, and clinical teaching to postgraduate students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and teaching methods.
- Supervise students in clinical procedures and assessments.
- Provide support to ensure students' successful program completion.
- Exemplify ethical standards as a specialist clinician role model.
Summary Administrative Responsibilities:
- Undertake administrative work supporting dentistry programs.
- Contribute to program development and management.
- Plan and prioritize workload for teaching and administrative tasks.
- Address daily requests and tasks as needed.

- Provide operational leadership for the Orthodontics (full-time) program.
- Supervise academic staff within the program team.
- Ensure quality and compliance of curricula.

- Manage external quality assurance processes and maintain accurate records.
