RESPONSIBILITIES

In this Strategic Account Manager role you will be innovative and develop opportunities to proactively drive new business with Vehicle Manufacturer clients and industry influencers whilst supporting existing relationships to deliver the ECR Growth Strategy by supporting the Strategic Team. The core activities of this role include:

  • You will work alongside the Coatings Business Development Managers, Technical Sales Consultant Team and Technical Sales Specialist Team to grow volume, increase turnover & profitability, ensuring all budget and volume targets are achieved.
  • You will proactively develop our Strategic Account customer base by developing relationships with new and existing industry influencers within the Multi-Site Operator (MSO), Fleet, Lease and Insurance sectors.
  • You will develop value added propositions, using innovative techniques and solutions, to break down entry barriers, enhance approvals for our clients and understand and identify competitor activities to minimise business risk to maximise business opportunities for BASF refinish business.
  • You will be responsible for market development, network improvement and bodyshop conversions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The successful candidate should ideally be educated to degree level, and will have an aptitude for people, products and customers.
  • Knowledge of the automotive refinish industry would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • The candidate should ideally have a number of years' commercial experience.
  • We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated individual, who is extremely customer-focused and has first class negotiation, decision making and communication skills.
  • You are competent in the use of various IT software including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Business Tools such as Power Apps & Power Bi as well as other cloud-based applications.
  • A full driving licence is required, as the role involves significant amount of travel within the UK.
  • This position is UK home-based, with an option to work from our Stockport office depending on your location. #Li-remote
