Your new companyA job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Delivery and Supplier Management Lead to join one of the most established organisations in South Wales. The organisation offers excellent scope for career progression and a great working environment. This role will initially be a fixed-term-contract until June 2027, with the possibility to get extended or made permanent after this period.

Your new roleThe Service Delivery and Supplier Management Lead will be responsible for the service supplier framework to ensure that 3rd party suppliers deliver to all service obligations and requirements, whilst proactively working to improve services through innovation and continuous improvement. You will take responsibility for the design and implementation of the service delivery and supplier management processes and governance, ensuring that IT services meet the requirements of the wider organisational strategies.

You will liaise with several key senior stakeholders to ensure that continual service improvement requirements are fully understood; that all appropriate solutions are implemented to meet business requirements and that they deliver excellent customer service.

Furthermore, you will ensure that service delivery of IT services meets all business needs by taking responsibility for the service delivery of 24x7 IT service using ITIL framework governance, leading a team to deliver excellent service performance related to all IT vendors and high value strategic partners, whilst contributing to defining the overall service strategy and implementation that covers all aspects of service delivery and supplier management.

What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven track record of working in a Senior Leadership position in IT Service Management or a similar role
  • Extensive experience in leading ITIL Service Management disciplines in a 24x7x365 environment
  • Proven experience of leading/managing teams
  • Experience of IT contracts and likely cost implications, in addition to experience of financial accounting and reporting practices applicable to relevant products, costs, and risks
  • Knowledge of the development and implementation of processes and policies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Have completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business Management, Finance, or a similar subject
