Job Duties:
Provide direct care and support to children in a residential setting

Implement care plans and support individual needs

Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times

Engage children in activities and promote their social and emotional development

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided

Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals

Required Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent

Enhanced DBS check

Previous experience in a similar role

Understanding of safeguarding procedures

Education:
Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent

Experience:
Prior experience in residential care for children

Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of child development and attachment theory

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Preferred Qualifications:
First Aid certification

Training in de-escalation techniques

Experience working with children with complex needs

Working Conditions:
Shift work including weekends and evenings

Possibility of sleep-in shifts

Working in a residential care setting with children
