Join British Airways as a Tribe Product Lead for Digital Sales

Drive a monumental shift in the aviation industry through our revolutionary digital change programme. As a Tribe Product Lead for Nexus, you'll define and drive the vision, solution, and outcomes for your product tribe. You'll act as the accountable owner for the end-to-end customer journey, developing a deep understanding of the target market/industry and building close relationships with key stakeholders to define business strategy.

Drive increased direct digital channel sales through our revolutionary change programme, Nexus. As the Tribe Product Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in defining and executing the digital sales strategy, optimising various touchpoints such as homepage and landing, flight revenue (Air Select), checkout (Passenger Information & Checkout), and ancillary revenue (Upsell).

Direct Reports: Up to 5 direct / up to 60 indirect

Accountabilities:

  • Define and drive the delivery of the digital sales strategy within the Nexus programme, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Product and key stakeholders to ensure synergy between digital sales initiatives and broader business strategies.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritising roadmap commitments and development efforts, ensuring alignment with key dependencies across the ecosystem.
  • Directly manage a cross-functional team of product, design, research, and tech leaders, ensuring effective execution of strategies.
  • Lead continuous analysis of the impact, scope, and dependencies among squads, collaborating closely with the data analytics & insights function.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicting priorities and lead tribe-level Sprint Review sessions.

Skills / Capabilities:

  • Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skills, focusing on driving increased sales in the digital domain.
  • Effective management of requirements, deadlines, and projects in the digital sales domain.
  • Experience in research, analysis, and proposition development to optimise sales channels.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive initiatives effectively.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, and experience with Jira.
  • Working knowledge of modern technology stack/architecture, including front-end frameworks, microservices architecture, and third-party API integration.
  • Proficiency in the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including research, design, refinement, development, delivery, and optimisation within the sales domain.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Leadership experience with ownership of outcomes in the digital sales domain.
  • Knowledge of airline commercial and operational functions, with a focus on driving sales growth.
  • Expertise in Agile Scrum methodology and digital software delivery.
  • Experience leveraging technology for customer and operational outcomes, particularly in driving sales growth.
  • Knowledge of modern digital optimisation tools and frameworks to enhance performance.
  • Proven ability to leverage data to drive progress reporting and decision-making in sales.
