We are currently looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance Department, to support the Senior Finance officer in delivering the company's financial services of Penderels Trust. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organization that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.

Location: Hybrid working, Coventry CV3 3GU

Salary: £22,011 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Days & Times: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Closing: Friday 2nd August 2024

The Role – Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting the Senior Finance Officer (Purchase Ledger) in the processing of high-volume invoices in preparation for payment via Sage 200
  • Distributing remittance advices to Suppliers
  • Dealing with payment queries from Suppliers
  • Supporting as needed, in the payment of Invoices and wages using the Pre-Paid Card Portal (EML)
  • Uploading funds to service user's personal pre-paid cards (via Allpay) daily
  • Assisting with the quarterly payroll invoices/statements and suspension letters
  • Dealing with general telephone and email enquiries
  • Updating and maintaining relevant excel databases, general filing, and archiving
  • To provide, as necessary, any other duties as required within the scope and responsibility of the role.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications – We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Experience of working in a finance or accounting environment
  • Previous experience of producing statistical reports and assignments
  • Ability to input and maintain accurate data records
  • Ability to manage workload effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines
  • Hold minimum GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent in English and Maths
  • A qualification in bookkeeping or accounting would be desirable
