Job Summary

Rullion is seeking a highly skilled Financial Lead to join our team as a Senior Finance Manager for our client, a leading energy company dedicated to sustainable and innovative solutions.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in the office, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the month-end financial process for IT operational costs and projects, including journals, reporting, and asset management in SAP.
  • Reviewing and critically assessing Product/Project Investment Approvals or similar submissions from operational businesses, evaluating their financial justification and strategic relevance.
  • Partnering with the Digital Technology team to establish a clear framework and process for forecasting that meets the requirements of the UK, Pillar, EDT, and Group planning levels.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance financial and commercial processes, including automation, by collaborating with the CS Digital and Innovation team.
  • Engaging in regular performance management discussions with budget holders within Digital Technology.
  • Providing support across the Central Functions team as needed to promote efficiency and insight, and contributing to strategic projects as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant experience in financial roles.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support and hold accountable both finance and non-finance senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to coordinate the financial planning process through effective collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Commercially minded, with the capability to challenge financial decisions.
