Fundraising Executive

CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary - Hybrid

SALARY: £27,300 / £14 per hour

HOURS: 35 hours per week

Job Purpose

  • Have responsibility for an annual income target and inspire, engage, and mobilise individuals and communities as agreed with the Fundraising Manager.
  • Process unrestricted donations and other fundraising income set up accurate database records, assign appropriate finance codes, collate income from third-party sources, and prepare donation acknowledgements.
  • Deliver efficient and conscientious fundraising administration supporter care.
  • Maintain accurate electronic supporter records including donations, personal details, Gift Aid declarations, communication preferences, and any other related data on Donorfy.
  • Provide support to the Fundraising Manager and Head Office Team.
  • To build the profile of FTM's work with donors and other stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement (50%)

  • Have responsibility for an annual income target and inspire, engage, and mobilise individuals and communities as agreed with the Fundraising Manager.
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing supporters (including churches, schools, and other supporter groups) and volunteers; this will include developing necessary communication resources.
  • Create new, appealing community fundraising activities and opportunities to recruit new audiences and supporters including clubs, associations, churches, schools, individuals, etc.
  • Identify and develop strong working relationships with new community groups.
  • Respond to incoming requests (telephone/email/post) and queries from supporters on an ongoing ad hoc basis.
  • Monitor and report against the agreed work plan and targets.

Events and Challenges (15%)

  • In conjunction with the Fundraising Manager, agree on targets associated with events and achieve these targets within set deadlines.
  • Develop and lead new and existing events to raise the income and profile of the charity with guidance from the Fundraising Manager.
  • Support individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities, events, and mass participation events.

Donation Processing (10%)

  • Process all donations and other fundraising income, set up accurate database records, assign appropriate finance codes, collate income from third-party sources and prepare donation acknowledgements.
  • Record all donations received onto Donorfy, including cheques, credit cards, direct debits, standing orders, CAF vouchers, charity cards, online donations, etc.
  • Record and update Gift Aid declarations against donor records on Donorfy
  • Support Finance Manager with the reconciliation of monthly figures.

Income Generation (8%)

  • Lead on data segmentation for appeals and developing supporter journeys.
  • Writing, producing, and sending out fundraising materials e.g. for our quarterly E-newsletters to supporters
  • Develop and produce materials and campaigns, supported by the wider team, aimed at churches, sporting supporters, and community groups.

Profile Raising (7%)

  • Writing fundraising content for social media
  • Represent and network on behalf of the charity at external and sector events as required or as delegated by the Fundraising Manager or CEO.
  • Working with the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for managing aspects of the charity's Google AdWords and Google Analytics accounts.

Database Administration (7%)

  • Support the maintenance and updating of the organisation's Donorfy database
  • Use Donorfy to record and monitor all activities related to your role

Organisational Specific (3%)

  • Ensure all activities are in line with the organisation's vision, mission, values, and agreed procedures
  • Undertake any other tasks required by the Fundraising Manager or CEO
