Description

Are you excited to demonstrate how research can improve our games?

As a Lead User Researcher you'll be defining best practices and processes in addition to leading hiring to support the creation of a research team.

You'll collaborate closely with production leads as well as highly creative, data driven and talented individuals across the Jagex Analytics, Marketing, & Games teams to ensure that research is built into to our development processes and is central to validation of new content. Deliver research learning and guidance to game and business development staff which will have a significant impact on the direction of our games and studio. You'll be a central expert on research, informing on research related projects through the studio. The research team will start with you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Creating research objectives and selecting appropriate methodologies
  • Develop a research roadmap that supports strategic initiatives and aligns with product roadmaps.
  • Build and lead a research team, creating a strong identity for research at Jagex and help to increase research maturity
  • Enable best practice in research, working with senior stakeholders to build out our research capabilities and embed research in our ways of working
  • Capture and translate business requirements into research briefs for internal projects and external agencies, with clear scope, timings and costs
  • Interact with all parts of Analytics, Data Science and Engineering (ADSE) and the wider Studio to disseminate research and create a better understanding of our players
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous user research experience in product-led company or agency.
  • Experience with multiple research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, including In-Depth Interviews/121s, Tree tests, Focus groups, MaxDiff, Conjoint, PSM/Van Westendorp, TURF, Concept tests
  • Strong communicator and storyteller, with a track record of being an evangelist for user research. Able to summarise and simplify research output for Senior Leadership audiences
  • Team leadership and line management experience
  • Experience with survey tools e.g. Qualtrics, Alchemer
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across all levels of the business and develop good working relationships with product leadership groups
