Position: Sub-Contract and Stock Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
Location: Weymouth
Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm
Pay: Up to 12.20p/h DOE
Summary of Functions: To manage and control the day-to-day activity of all products and materials arriving at and being despatched from the site, including the management of sub-contract treatments.
About the Role: This position involves:
- Maintaining a safe workplace, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policies and requirements.
- Ensuring daily checks of all material handling equipment are carried out and up to date.
- Overall stock control, ensuring all products and materials arriving at or leaving the facility are aligned with the PO or C of C and recorded/traceable within Aventa.
- Liaising with, placing, and expediting sub-contract orders.
- Ensuring all materials are held within appropriate locations and conducting all movements of materials in line with current processes and procedures.
- Assessing and checking the condition and quantity of all goods received, and conducting reject processes when in receipt of non-conforming material.
- Ensuring products leaving or arriving are import/export compliant.
- Liaising with couriers and tracking product deliveries to their destination.
- Ensuring adequate packaging supplies are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Providing full support to production, engineering, and CRM.
- Undertaking kitting and issuing of materials to job cards.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience within the aerospace industry (preferred) or a related environment.
- Methodical and analytical approach to all tasks.
- Accurate attention to detail and process-driven.
- Collaborative and able to work as part of a team and independently when required.
