Your extensive knowledge encompasses the LGPS, Pension Scheme Regulator, and optimal pension practices.
Having familiarity with current LGPS issues and legislation including the McCloud judgement and GMP Rectification is another fortitude you carry.
Other capabilities include proficiency in managing income and expenditure, comprehending the reporting requirements and dispute resolution procedures, and being comfortable with computer systems for data input and retrieval.
What the Job Involves
As the Head of Pensions Administration, you would handle the responsibility of leading and managing the administration of the LGPS for the London Borough of Sutton and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
Your duties will encompass providing professional expertise for supporting the development and implementation of operational plans, managing discreet programs and projects, motivating a team of staff, and managing the budget and resources.
An integral part of your job will be to administer Sutton and Kingston LGPS with yearly pension payouts exceeding £61m and overseeing a shared pensions administration team revenue budget nearing £1m.
You will be tasked with managing critical projects like the McCloud project and the GMP Rectification project.
Collaborating effectively with the Head of Pension Investments and Pension Payroll teams will be expected to ensure a productive and efficient LGPS function for both Sutton and Kingston.
Attendance at Committee/Panel and Board meetings, briefings, trainings or advisory sessions will be regular, and you will also prepare detailed, accurate, and professional reports for the Pension Committee and Pension Board at LBS.
