We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented Inventory Manager to manage an exciting and high-performing team on our Nuneaton site. A role that will challenge you but also enable you to make a difference to the site's stock accuracy, waste reduction and wider business.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage a large team of colleagues who will work across 4 shift patterns and ensure that inventory KPIs are met and that effectively coordinate the service and support functions so that operations runs smoothly
- Oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of ingredients and packaging materials, ensuring proper labelling, handling, and storage practices are followed
- Monitor inventory levels, analyse usage patterns, and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses
- Optimise inventory turnover and minimise waste by implementing strategies such as first-in-first-out (FIFO) rotation and efficient space utilisation.
- Monitor product shelf life and coordinate with the production team to ensure proper usage of ingredients within the specified timelines
- Liaise and communicate with the supply chain team and directly with suppliers to drive internal operational improvements
- Seek to continually improve processes and identify areas of potential weaknesses
Who You Are:
- Experience with working in a supply chain management environment
- Experience in an FMCG environment
- Experience with working with external suppliers and managing internal stakeholders
- Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, WMS)
