Our client, a well-established, UK leading Manufacturer in the Leigh area with over 40 years in business, are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse/Stores Person who can progress within the business.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for variety and growth opportunities in their role.

As a Warehouse/Stores Person your duties will be;
" To action supplier deliveries within Goods Inward Department. This will involve checking all new receipts against a non-technical inspection/supplier delivery note, including any damage, quantity, quality and labelling and booking the goods into the Epicor system. All discrepancies found to be reported.
" Items to be put away to stock in suitable/correct locations and managing warehouse 'bin' locations.
" Perform general warehouse duties to maintain a smooth operation.
" Forklift driving duties where required.
" Goods in and Goods out co-ordination.
" Occasional van driving for deliveries.
" Inputting goods-in to the inventory.
" Liaising with couriers for goods collection.
" Using ERP system to maintain accurate inventory.
" Perform regular stock checks and investigate any discrepancies.
" Loading/unloading and handling of incoming deliveries and collections.
" Be able to adhere to all Health and Safety requirements.

The successful Warehouse/Stores Person will have the following skills;

" A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a Stores/Warehouse role.
" Can operate a computer system, proven experience working in a stores / materials environment, preferably ideally gained within engineering.
" IT literacy - previous experience on an MRP or ERP is desirable with a good working knowledge of Excel.
" Physical ability to lift heavy objects.
" reliable, organised, and hardworking team player.
" Familiar with inventory control techniques.
" High level of attention to detail whilst working at pace.
" Forklift Truck license.
