You must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the location of our client's business.
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our client's team in Chelmsford, Essex. As a Stock Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hire department. With their continued growth, our client is looking for a dedicated individual who can efficiently complete administrative tasks, coordinate deliveries, and maintain a tidy workplace.
Key Duties:
- Ensure all hires are prepared and ready for timely delivery
- Complete and file all hire paperwork accurately
- Plan the driver's day and ensure prompt departure each morning
- Verify invoice details, including dates, amounts, and delivery charges
- Arrange collection of returning hires and off-hire them efficiently
- Clean and store hire equipment properly, maintaining high standards
- Log damaged, lost, and faulty equipment with the correct paperwork
- Accurately pick and box all hires
- Complete changeovers within allocated timeframes
- Keep the workplace clean and tidy at all times
- Organise your day and prioritise your workload effectively
Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Previous experience in a hire/leasing environment
- Ability to use computerised systems for data entry
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Accurate and efficient typing skills
- Excellent communication skills
