Captivate audiences, spearhead dynamic campaigns and drive cultural engagement as the head of marketing at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea

The De La Warr Pavilion is seeking an experienced and hard-working head of marketing who will be responsible for the planning, implementation and delivery of high-quality marketing campaigns for all aspects of the business. These include live events (music, comedy, spoken word, film, children's shows), exhibitions, learning, skills development, membership, shop and café bar.

The head of marketing will lead a small team to create and deliver effective and impactful marketing campaigns using a combination of experience, intuitive understanding of how to communicate to audiences and intelligent marketing data analysis.

The main objective of the role is to grow audiences and therefore increase income on ticket sales, café bar and shop transactions, membership and donations, support venue hire and increase footfall to exhibitions.

Role responsibilities

Manage a small and very busy team on the planning, implementation and delivery on all aspects of DLWP marketingThese include, but are not limited to: social media, e-marketing, website content, copy-writing, print, distribution, designWork with and support all departments to plan, agree and deliver (with the team) all marketing campaigns for different target audiencesManage of website content in timely and accurate wayManage designers, printers, distributors, photographers, film makers and other external agentsManage the creation of marketing assetsManage marketing/comms campaign budgetsBe responsible for the visual quality, accuracy and tone of voice of all campaignsAnalyse all campaigns and their effectiveness to reach audience and financial targets. Use the findings of those analytics to intelligently inform campaigns, grow audiences, generate income and make audience development recommendations to Senior Management Team (SMT)Manage the delivery of monthly and quarterly data reports for SMT and DLWP Board and assist on the ACE NPO annual return. Support the fundraising team in making data-driven decisions to retain and grow DLWP membershipsSupport director of external relations in all aspects of external communications and strategic relationship building as the organisation enters a major capital project and leads work within the local community. Knowledge, skills and experience
