YOUR ROLE

Our growing Customs team based in Aberdeen are looking for an experienced Customs Coordinator to support with customs clearances for our Air, Ocean, and Road Freight customers.

The role will be on a rotational shift basis of two weeks of earlies (6:00am to 2:30pm), two weeks of lates (12:30pm-9:00pm) and one in every four Saturdays with a day off in Lieu.

You will also have the opportunity to build on your knowledge through the UK Customs Academy We'll put you through your Level 2 UK customs academy level 2.

This role can also be based in Felixstowe.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Customs Team Leader, you will work alongside your colleagues to ensure all customs clearances are actioned on goods entering the UK, typically coming from European Countries for a multitude of different customers. You will utilise Destin8 and CNS systems to claim inventory links to add to the customs entry, ensuring a high level of attention to detail and accuracy is maintained to prevent any errors or oversights on documentation. This role will require regular communication and engagement with the customers, so you'll need to build and maintain first-class, long-lasting relationships with them and be on hand to support at each stage of the process.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will need to come with experience working in a Customs Administrator or Customs Coordinator role (or similar) and be confident working in a role that services a large and varied customer base. You'll need to understand and implement best practice within your role to ensure compliance is maintained, being proactive and efficient in your communication with customers, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
