I am pleased to be supporting a well-established practice based in Cambridge, who have two other practices in the North of England. The practice is made up of talented Architects, Designers and Technical staff and their work spans across a diverse range of sectors.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect with a strong background in the defence sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique requirements and challenges associated with defence-related projects and will be able to apply this knowledge to deliver innovative and secure architectural solutions.

This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary and appealing company benefits such as hybrid working.

Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for the role of Architect:

ARB registered.

Lead and manage architectural projects within the defence sector from conception through to completion.

Develop and implement design solutions that meet the stringent security, functional, and regulatory requirements of defence projects.

Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met.

Produce detailed architectural plans, drawings, and specifications.

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent and standards.

Mentor and guide junior architects and support staff.

Proven track record of successfully delivering defence-related projects and a strong knowledge of the regulations, standards, and best practices within the sector.

Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
