Cloud Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Digital Tools team at the University of Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting cloud infrastructure and migrating on-prem software to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable cloud infrastructure on major cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Migrate on-prem software to the cloud, developing a cloud migration strategy and implementing it.
  • Develop cloud solutions that meet the needs of our research projects, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and available.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a remote-first team that leads software development, data engineering, web development projects, and provides LIMS support. Our team works on varied technical projects that support clinical studies and epidemiological research.

About the University:

The MRC Epidemiology Unit is a department within the University of Cambridge's School of Clinical Medicine, situated within the Institute of Metabolic Science on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Our mission is to study the genetic, developmental, and environmental factors that cause obesity, diabetes, and related metabolic disorders and develop strategies for their prevention.
