Job Description SummaryManage a portfolio of suppliers and parts from PO placement to reception, according to predefined Forecast and / or NPI needs. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Directly under the responsibility of the Materials Planning & Execution Manager, within a team of Materials Planning & Execution Specialists, Buyers and Production Planners
  • Execution: Manage the Purchasing activity for a portfolio of Suppliers from Forecast and Purchase Order placement to receipt using predefined pricing and other T&C. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPI. On time delivery & Optimize inventory, process improvements will cover 2 Production units (main and secondary) .
  • Arbitrate supply priorities between units. Manage & Improve accuracy of forecasting process.
  • NPI : Represent the Purchasing team in NPI Projects introducing new Purchasing part , ensure the ramp-up/ ramp down supply chain for his portfolio of supplier and/or new ones . Define actions for the rest of the Purchasing team; work with Production Planners to align the NPI requirements into the ERP demand; interface with all other departments involved
  • Monitoring: summarize and coordinate weekly with other departments (especially the Sourcing dep. ) on materials which do not have basic Purchasing settings. Execute the setup of basic Purchasing parameters (moq, order frequency, PO type, others)
  • Improvements: coordinate improvements activities in the whole department in line with the Global strategy& recommendations and KPis
  • Negotiation: negotiate with Key suppliers extension of the current Supply chain models (Kanban, VMI, VBS,...) and establishment of new ones
  • Tier support: Together with Sourcing, help and resolve his suppliers own supply issue, prepare to allocate scarce materials based on priority
  • Focal point: Develop as a subject matter for the rest of the team; develop to represent the team in relation with all other departments
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to be able to define and execute policy/strategy of improvement of supply chain based on LEAN /6 Sigma principles. May be required to be the delegate of his direct manager
  • Basic understanding of outsourcing and Electronics manufacturing and key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Very Good understanding of how work in a team integrates with other teams
  • Will have extensive autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar position: Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing. Knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Proficiency in MS Office package, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Proficiency and relevant experience and Knowledge with using an ERP System, preferably SAP

  • Knowledge of "Smartsheet"
  • Second/ third language skills
  • Ambition to develop a career in Supply Chain and entry level management
