The Opportunity:

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Head of Hockey (Women) to lead our performance development programme within the Edinburgh University Hockey Club (EUWHC). This pivotal role involves developing and delivering a high-performance Hockey programme, with primary responsibility for leading technical sessions, squad selection, and support services to ensure optimal hockey performance. You will collaborate with head coaches, support staff, and national partners to create a world-class training environment that fosters a culture of excellence and innovation

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • You will be educated to at least HND level, with a UKCC level 2 award in coaching (Hockey) and at least 2 years coaching experience in a performance sport environment (Desirable).
  • You will have demonstrable experience of devising, monitoring, and reviewing sport development plans; developed communication (verbal and written, including simple report writing), presentational, and inter-personal skills; the ability to work independently, respond to unforeseen situations, and network effectively and an in-depth understanding of the organisation/structure of British/Scottish Universities sport.

£32,982 to £38,205 per annum, pro rata
