CCB UK Industrials banking team provide coverage to companies operating within wide range of manufacturing sub-segments and Industrials "Disruptors".

Our business partners include product specialists from Treasury and Trade Services (TTS), Corporate Finance, Markets, DCM, ECM, M&A, and Private Banking.

This is a new and exciting banker role that has come on back of strong growth of the Industrials team in the CCB UK.

Role will report to CCB UK Head of Industrials, will be hybrid / based out of London (Canary Wharf), and focussing on Industrials corporates that are publicly listed / privately owned / and also sponsor owned.

This position requires an experienced banker capable of driving business independently, as it will have a heavy emphasis on new business development and market leadership.

Primary responsibilities will be to build their own portfolio by acquiring new to bank relationships, representing CCB UK in the external market and manage some existing client relationships.

Successful candidate should have proven solid track record in acquiring new business and client relationship skills and an ability to call at the CEO/CFO level.

Strong corporate finance, credit, and transaction execution skills are required. Corporate / Commercial Banking, alongside leverage finance experience, is preferred, with good knowledge of Investment banking products.

Prior banking experience in the UK and understanding of the Industrials sector and leverage finance market is preferred, with strong knowledge and connections in the UK market.

Key Skills &

Responsibilities:

  • Selforiginate new, multiproduct and multicountry clients for CCB UK, and manage those relationship on an ongoing basis.
  • Strategically engage with client's Csuite and maximise 'One Citi' client experience, by proactively leveraging and sharing Citi's market leading insights, global network and solutions.
- "Be the Best" for our clients' by understanding and delivering on clients' holistic treasury and strategic agenda. Be responsible for Client-level planning, budget and revenue responsibilities. Identify cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet;

  • Administrate the credit relationship of clients, coordinate and supervise the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the bank.
  • Collaborate and work closely with various product teams (cash sales, trade finance, markets, corporate finance), Underwriting / Risk teams, junior bankers on a daily basis, other CCB structures across the globe and BCMA teams to develop opportunities;
  • Develop and build strong relationships & engagement with key business introducers debt advisors, corporate finance, legal, audit, industry associations and other key industry influencers. Build advocacy and gain market insight. Visible advocate of the CCB UK franchise in the external market.
  • Monitor and support products' implementation processes, clients onboarding process and manage sales CRM platform;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time. Verify adherence to global KYC (Know Your Customer) standards during the onboarding process and, on an ongoing basis, ensuring the appropriate compliance deliverables are met;
  • Team player who demonstrates strong and visible leadership skills, fosters a collaborative culture and promotes the coaching & development of other colleagues across the Commercial Banking team.
Education Level

  • Extensive previous experience in the field of banking, relationship management, credit;
  • Graduate / Master's degree.
