Public Sector Procurement Specialist (Part-Time, Job-Share, Full-Time)

Location: We're flexible on where you are based, however, there will be frequent travel to Farnborough, London, and other UK offices when required

The opportunity:

Join our newly established Customer & Distribution team within Zurich Municipal in a dynamic technical role focused on driving our customer and commercial strategies. As a subject matter expert in Public Procurement legislation, including Social Value, you will distil and share your knowledge to upskill stakeholders across Zurich Municipal.

What will you be doing?

  • Stay updated on changing, new, and emerging Public Sector procurement legislation, sharing insights to embed understanding within Zurich Municipal.
  • Manage relevant external procurement frameworks, ensuring compliance, effective management, and representation of Zurich's position.
  • Oversee the quality of our tender response templates, ensuring they are compliant, and contemporary, and highlight Zurich Municipal's strengths.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers on bespoke tender responses to compellingly and compliantly articulate Zurich UK's proposition to customers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for procurement-related queries and actions

What are we looking for?

We seek a candidate who can provide technical support and guidance while actively upskilling colleagues, aligning with Zurich Municipal's customer and commercial plans. You should monitor current, new, and developing public procurement legislation to keep colleagues informed and prepared for changes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences.
