We are looking for a Childrens Support Worker who can make a big difference in a child's life. You are their trusted companion, guide them, and support their growth. You will be there for them after school and on the weekends, creating fun memories and helping them learn important life skills.

Your job is to have exciting adventures with the child, take them on outings, and explore new things together. You will help the child with their social skills and be there for them as they experience new things. In the home, you will create a nurturing environment, encouraging the child to grow and become more independent.

We need someone enthusiastic and able to devise fun activities that will capture the children's imagination and ensure their health and happiness. Your creativity and dedication will make a big difference in the children's lives.

It would be great if you had a driver's licence and a car with business insurance. This will allow you to take the child on local and farther-away adventures.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Do fun activities with the child that help them learn and grow
  • Create a nurturing and supportive environment at home and in the community
  • Help the child make friends and learn how to communicate with others
  • Encourage the child to become more independent and confident
  • Tailor your support to meet the child's unique needs

Hours and Pay:

  • During the school term: 6 hours per week
  • During school holidays: 8 hours per week
  • You will be paid £13.00 per hour + £1.39 per hour holiday pay

Registrations required to be a Children's Support Worker:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
