An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Manager with skills in leading change and transformation to provide leadership and management of the Corporate Equalities Department including NHS Tayside's Interpretation and Translation Service.
The Interpretation and Translation Service is about to embark on a significant change programme to ensure future sustainability.
The Corporate Equalities Department is a large and highly complex service that provides advice, support and training regarding equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights within NHS Tayside. There are approximately 30 members of staff and also a team of Bank Interpreters.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with specialist knowledge and understanding of equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights as applicable to the Public Sector.
You should be an inclusive leader with excellent interpersonal skills. You should also have a flexible approach to work, the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and be good under pressure.
In addition you will have excellent communication and influencing skills along with high level planning, analytical and organisational skills.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
