We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual, capable of supporting care experienced and disadvantaged young people to realise their potential within and through education, contributing to a positive experience and a positive leavers' destination.

You will liaise with school staff, partner agencies and stakeholders to support learners S1 - S6 through the delivery and continuous development of a high-quality mentoring and group work programme(s).

You will assist in the recruitment of mentors and support, engage, and motivate them.
You will assist and support learners through an equitable and inclusive process to set, experience, and follow their education and employment pathways to realise their potential.

You will have experience of using a range of monitoring and evaluation processes to plan, deliver and review the impact of service provision and provide reports as required including contribution towards the MCR Pathways Plan.

Where the post you are applying for is considered Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate's first salary payment.

In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee's wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by HR Services Lead.

Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee's final salary.
