Service Charge Accountant

Type: 3 days in the office, 2 days from homeHours: Monday - Friday 9-5:30pm
Our client is an established property management business that manage commercial and residential properties on behalf of freeholders, institutional and private investors.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial company with a wide range of responsibilities.
Main duties of the Service Charge Accountant:
Liaison with operations/ property management teamResponsibility for production of budgets and EOY accounts within deadlinesResponsibility for financial management of district heating systemsResponsibility for timely production of expenditure v budget reportsManagement of financial complianceResponsibility for credit controlPurchase Ledger
Producing Payment Runs for ContractorsResponsibility for accuracy of Contractor ledgersLiaise with Suppliers directly by email and telephoneDealing with contractor queries and making sure accounting systems are up to dateSales Ledger
Ownership of arrears, for a portfolio of clientsReporting of arrears in monthly management meetingsCredit Control, liaising with occupiers/tenants directly by email and telephone relating to outstanding amounts and invoice queriesPrepare and issue service charge packs to occupiers/tenants when requiredBanking
Ownership of Bank Reconciliations for a portfolio of clientsResponsibility for the governance of Notional Accounts, within the portfolioAssist team with ad hoc bank dutiesExperienceAt least two years experience in a relevant role, AAT qualification an advantagePrevious experience working within the property industrySkills
Confidence with Microsoft Office suite of programmes, and strong Excel skillsExperience of using the Grosvenor Systems Propman software and/or Dwellant an advantageAttributes
Organisation skillsStaff management skillsGood time managementGood communication skillsConfidenceWilling to contribute to a small team environmentPro-activity
