Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

The MRC Epidemiology Unit is looking for an experienced Phlebotomist to join their team as a Clinical Research Study Assistant.

The post holder will play an important role in supporting the Unit's research into obesity, diabetes and related metabolic disorders. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Field Team they will carry out clinical, anthropometric and body composition measurements on participants taking part in the Fenland 3 study, as well as processing laboratory samples. The Unit benefits from a number of large-scale, cross programme epidemiological studies with detailed datasets allowing a wide range of research from genetics to public health. Highly experienced information teams and other specialist teams support the scientists in the delivery of their research aims.

The successful candidates will have GCSEs in Maths and English, and be educated to A-Level standard. Applicants will have previous experience of performing venepuncture in either a clinical or research setting.
