We are seeking a highly skilled Research Lead to join our team at the Observational and Pragmatic Research Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing research ideas, coordinating, conducting, and communicating high-quality scientific research for both commercial and academic purposes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a small, experienced team of international researchers and collaborate with our clinical, statistical, and database colleagues. You will have the scope and capability to lead research proposals for academic and commercial clients, develop statistical analysis plans, and conduct analyses for clinical database studies, registries, and pragmatic randomised controlled trials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with study sponsors and steering committee experts throughout the project
  • Leading a project team from idea generation to delivery of the study outputs
  • Critically reviewing the work of other members of the research team and mentoring less experienced members as necessary
  • Developing and implementing statistical analysis plans and conducting analyses for clinical database studies, registries, and pragmatic randomised controlled trials
  • Writing and publishing research papers and reports

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience
  • Demonstrable experience of large clinical database research, ideally with practical experience of using EMR data
  • Experience of leading health research projects from start to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
