THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to lead & manage the London studio and its team, to execute the studio strategy and deliver inspirational education amplifying its reach in line with the company KPI's.

Mentoring coaching and developing the studio team along with coaching & development of frontline team whilst in the studio in their commercial acumen whilst delivering fee paying education are key deliverables of this role

The role requires you to drive the team to achieve studio course income, retail product sales, tNPS and EMV targets as well as the number of paid advocate opportunities, contributing to the company business objectives NIS in support of the GROW/GAIN and RETAIN strategies

You will lead the advisory department ensuring all protocols by the team are completed within the timelines.

A key area of the role is having a digital first mindset for education supporting ICONS and digital education activations allocating team resource where needed to multiple activations eg the development of content through the Studio Content Creation suits

Reporting into the Associate Director Education Operations you will be part of the senior education management team SEM you will support the studio and frontline education team to grow the fee-paying course following the standards to support them in achieving the company targets & career planning. Collaborating with the Senior Education Management team to support Gain Grow and Craft objectives across the education function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To achieve studio income, activities and student number targets by the planning and booking of the studio activities calendar along with the team in line with the global/ local plans to achieve studio income kpi
  • Working with the AD of Education operations you will plan the studio activity annually reviewed on a regular basis, sense check against the global P+L guidance in support of the company priorities.
  • Supported by the Senior Education Managers Craft Grow/ Gain and Digital Platform and Education Reporting Manager You are the custodian of EdAc achievement for London studio team related to Craft Growth and business education,
  • Co-design and execute local Education Curriculum across all Education Touchpoints, based on global Curriculum (online/offline), serving the digital strategy following commercial priorities
  • Lead high-quality Studio Education plans in collaboration with the Studio Seminar Leader and Education Capability Manager following guidelines and ensure quality standards are delivered and take necessary actions if needed.
  • Lead and moderate Studio Education on stage. Where needed a % time will be spent educating within the studio
  • Supporting the Senior education manager Craft with the delivery of internal capability trainings.
  • Lead the advisory function achieve all the KPI target from global for protocol and reporting timelines.
  • Ensure impactful and positive studio experience for all Studio visitors, customers, and Wella Company team members
  • Follow-up and action of Studio Education customer seminar feedback, SoMe, feedback to frontline teams.

  • Manage Studio Model within budget constraints
  • Represent Education internally and externally as a credible face to the industry to ensure Education is seen as the preferred partner by stylists and set up as Key Business driver for Gain & Grow and for Digital Transformation.
  • Bring stylists/industry voice into multifunctional teams (Commercial, Digital, Sales, Finance, HR etc.).
  • Drive & Monitor educators as influencers from the studio team through aligned and tracked EMV to drive awareness for Wella Education and all brands and promote Education curriculum to drive booking.
  • Ensure the studio education team fulfills on the educator digital capacity guidelines of 10-20% allocated time dependent on Connected or Social educator. Ensure the content the team creates is in line with the wider company requests linked to IMP/EMV focus and any company activations requested from the craft community education function..
  • Execute and track against defined Studio Education targets (income/studio)
  • Lead content planning , creation and delivery for EDD, NEDD, SEM, MSM, ASM, Events

KPI's

  • London Studio target met FY25 minimum 110% YAG bronze target
  • Studio digital targets meet reach
  • Studio team EMV content targets are met to support the digital content creation
  • 4 plus colour brands per door taught on all Colour courses
  • Co ride with each studio education team member number x 4 times on studio course
  • London studio EdAC completion by individual achieved from Goal
  • Achieve global studio score card kpi's
  • Achieve %NIS growth of educated vs not educated priority doors (G1-2-3-R1).
  • Advisory KPI's are met

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • team leadership experience 3+years
  • Advanced ability to lead a team, proven track record linked to kpi achievement
  • Proven knowledge of the studio its courses and fee-paying education delivery.
  • Commercial understanding and previous experience in developing new course formats to meet the needs of the business together with Seminar Leaders
  • Proficient skills at driving & turning around team performance.
  • Proven experience in working across the education & sales function.
  • Proficient in digital execution and maintains awareness of social medial trends

Desirable:

  • Strong understanding of the hairdressing business model both internal and external
  • Strong moderation, presentation, and communication skills
  • In touch with trends within the PB industry
  • Completed MOO training.
