Communications Manager

EnergyTag is a mission-driven, independent non-profit that advocates for and enables granular electricity carbon accounting. We bring hundreds of the world’s leading organizations together to develop the world’s only real-time electricity tracking standard. This is a critical step to delivering truly clean products like green hydrogen and ensuring more accurate corporate carbon accounting. We regularly advise governments and international standards bodies on modernizing electricity markets and carbon accounting to make them aligned with the need for total grid decarbonization. We are seeking a highly mission-driven Communications Manager passionate about promoting sustainability and making a meaningful impact in the clean energy sector.
The candidate will ideally be based in Europe (remote, no visa sponsorship).
Your Mission
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for EnergyTag and, when necessary, develop tailored strategies for specific global regions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Curate and create content across our social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, X), ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.
- Produce diverse and engaging marketing content, including videos, graphics, and other multimedia materials.
- Manage content calendar to drive engagement with blog articles, research papers, webinars, and events organized or co-hosted by EnergyTag.
- Develop and manage insightful and engaging newsletter content on HubSpot, providing valuable updates and information to our subscribers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers relevant to clean energy and electricity standards.
- Oversee the content and functionality of the organization’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and reflective of current campaigns and initiatives.
Your Skills
Required
- 5+ years experience in communications in the renewable energy or sustainability sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to craft and deliver targeted messages, at the right time, in the most effective way, to support and deliver the aims of our key initiatives to our key audiences.
- Expertise in curating and managing social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, and X).
- Experience in growing social media audiences and increasing engagement.
- Experience in working with international teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in using data and analytics to drive communication strategies.
Desired
- Knowledge of the GHG Protocol and its application in electricity carbon accounting.
- Understanding of, or strong interest in, the clean energy transition.
- Experience with monitoring and interacting with media and media outlets.
