We are seeking an experienced Global HR Operations Manager for an initial 3-month fixed-term contract with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent role. This pivotal role will oversee global HR operations, enhancing policies, processes, and systems to deliver exceptional employee experiences across the full lifecycle.


With a January start date, this opportunity is ideal for a proactive HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is available on little to no notice.



Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee global HR operations to ensure scalable, compliant, and efficient processes across all regions.
  • Employee Experience:
  • Enhance critical employee journey touchpoints through data-driven insights and improved service delivery.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and develop a globally dispersed team of six, including payroll specialists, HR administrators, and systems analysts.
  • Payroll and Compliance:
  • Ensure seamless payroll delivery and lead a tendering process to explore outsourcing options.
  • HRIS and Process Optimisation:
  • Drive enhancements in HR systems (BambooHR) and digitisation to improve efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with senior leaders to support key projects, including supplier reviews and onboarding transformation initiatives.
  • Project and M&A Support:
  • Lead critical projects, including acquisition integration, onboarding, and policy harmonisation.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
  • Provide analytics and reporting to support decision-making and operational improvements.


About You

This role is suited to a commercially astute, solutions-oriented professional with extensive experience in Global HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring gravitas, technical expertise, and a passion for leading operational transformation in a dynamic environment.


Key Competencies and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Global HR Operations Manager (or very similar), with a strong track record of delivering results in global environments.
  • Expertise in payroll, benefits, and HRIS management (BambooHR experience useful but not essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage globally dispersed teams.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on policy harmonisation and employee integration.
  • Strong data analytics and advanced Excel skills, with a commitment to process improvement.
  • Pragmatic, commercially focused mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.


What Success Looks Like in the First 3 Months:

  • Establishment of strong relationships across HR and operational teams.
  • Progress on key projects, including payroll outsourcing and onboarding initiatives.
