Company Description

ROC Clinic is a private healthcare organisation with offices in London and Aberdeen, Scotland. The clinic offers Primary and Secondary Care Services with a focus on Rapid Access, Rapid Diagnosis, and Treatment. ROC Clinic provides integrated healthcare services for Occupational Health and Private Health needs, including health screening, health surveillance, on-site nurses and doctors, and urgent consultations and treatments. The clinic also offers a bespoke VIP health planning service through ROC VIP.


Role Description

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. The Ops Director shall ensure that processes run efficiently, resources are optimised, and goals are achieved. The Ops Director’s role is to maximise the effectiveness of the business, irrespective of where it operates.

Due to the size of the business, this role is a hands-on as well as strategic role. You will be directly involved in reviewing or establishing processes for calls handling for example as well as strategically planning for the workforce development.

You are expected to deliver operational excellence, meaning swift, clear and simple processes that are continuously reviewed and optimised. Your approach is expected to be:

I.                 Customer centric: you shall understand what our customers (B2B and B2C) value and need, and then adapt the strategy, processes, and people to meet those demands.

II.                 Lean as a management style: minimising waste of resources and maximising value for customers

III.                 Transformative: the culture needs be transformed and focused on continuous improvement, whilst setting high standards and stating principles and long-term solutions.

IV.                 Systemised in thinking: you need understand how the different parts of business work together, and to avoid barriers that interrupt the flow of information and ideas

V.                 Welcoming and supportive of integration tools such as AI, applications integrations, APIs that can help business transform and make informed decisions


You are expected to have a sound understanding of clinical governance, performance management, good communication skills, clinical engagement and a passion for outstanding patient centred care.

 

Qualifications and Skills

·      Proven skill set matching the 5 requirements listed above

·      Strong leadership, management and organisational skills with the ability to motivate others

·      Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

·      Good understanding of budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation which requires good numerical skills

·      Good understanding of health and safety regulations

·      Have the capacity to work under pressure and to take a problem-solving approach to work

·      Ability to manage third party Contractors to ensure works are completed on time, to the required standard and on budget.

·      Bachelor’s degree in business administration and / or a Bachelor’s degree in a Biomedical Science related field

·      Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care or equivalent

·      Meets the requirements of a Registered Manager in line with HIS/ CQC regulations


Experience

·      Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a healthcare services organisation

·      7 years of demonstrated experience of a progressively responsible nature

·      A wide range of knowledge and experience in Operational Management, Facilities Management, Project Management and Personnel Management

·      Previous experience in managing fast paced environments and multitasking

·      Experienced in managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders
