Location: Manchester, Leicester, or London
Role Overview: As a Bid Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining the ongoing success and best practices of the current team. You will be joining at an exciting time as we are currently implementing new technology to support the bid management process evolution programme across Hays.
The role will entail 50% bid opportunity management and 50% writing of client centric content to improve and develop an already mature bid library in the UK.
Hays UK&I has a high volume of complex bids with a wide variety of clients, many of which require in-depth solutioning to achieve the best outcomes. You will be working with Senior Bid Managers and the Bid Director to design and develop client-centric content and solutions as well as managing your own bids from start to finish. The Bid Team is absolutely pivotal to the success and growth of our business for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage Bid and Proposal opportunities alongside key stakeholders.
- Create new bid content and graphics to ensure our Knowledge Hub is constantly updated.
- Support the delivery of Hays-wide transformation projects to ensure continued growth and success of the bidding function.
- Collaborate with Senior Bid Managers and the Bid Director to design and develop client-centric content and solutions.
- Manage your own bids from start to finish, ensuring high-quality submissions.
Key Requirements for Success:
- Recruitment Knowledge: Ideally, knowledge of MSP and RPO models.
- Bid Management Experience: Previous experience in writing and managing bids is essential.
- Proactive and Inquisitive: A proactive and curious mindset.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team of experts while maintaining autonomy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to engage with business stakeholders effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Attention to Detail: High literacy and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Good time management skills and comfortable working to and meeting deadlines.
- Creativity: A passion for writing and a creative flair.
