If so, we’re looking for a Product Development Technical Assistant to join our growing team. In this role you’ll be a vital part of our Buying and Design teams, helping to ensure that our products are launched successfully and maintained to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about product development, quality and compliance.

Purpose:

To support the Buying and Design team in the development of new products, to ensure all product compliance is adhered to at all times, including safety, legality, quality and labelling requirements from design concept to production. You will be responsible for managing all technical documents, communicating with factories overseas, arranging 3rd party testing, collating reports, and solving any quality issues that arise.

Working closely with all customer facing teams, you will provide all necessary test reports and certificates when required to support a smooth delivery of all orders across the UK and EU to ensure we are GPSR compliant. You will report to the Buying Manager and work closely with the Buying, Design and Goods In teams, as well as the overseas sourcing Agents and Factories.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assessing and maintaining high quality product standards at all times.
· Problem solving any quality issues that arise and implementing improvements.
· Communicating with factories overseas.
· Identifying and resolving technical issues during development and manufacturing.
· Arranging 3rd party test reports when required and collating and storing all data.
· Ensuring labelling and packaging meets technical standards and GPSR regulations.
· Gathering all information required for EPR regulations.
· Supporting suppliers in resolving technical problems arising during product design and development, actively proposing cost-effective solutions and resolving issues without compromising design integrity.
· Ensuring all product testing certification is obtained, renewed where necessary and recorded in line with company and legal requirements.
· Managing and updating all ethical supplier audits when required.
· Advising our supply base on the implementation of new compliance standards that arise.
· Creating, building, and maintaining strong relationships with agents and suppliers, notifying those where quality standards have not been met.
· Supporting business with any other tasks and ad hoc duties as requested.
