We are recruiting on behalf of a very well-known bank for a Manager of the Group Financial Reporting Team, As a member of our finance team, you'll collaborate with business partners to provide invaluable insights, analysis, and precision in decision-making.


What You'll Do:


  • Lead and oversee the external financial reporting process for the consolidated Group, ensuring high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines.
  • Analyze complex areas of external financial reporting, understanding the impact of various transactions on financial statements.
  • Establish a robust control environment to ensure accuracy and reliability of consolidated financial information.
  • Collaborate with finance, business, accounting policy, and risk experts to address external disclosure requirements and financial reporting challenges.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders, including the Group Audit Committee.
  • Drive in-depth reviews of financial reporting areas and spearhead initiatives for process optimization and automation.
  • Act as deputy financial reporting Lead as required, managing senior stakeholders and the Group FR team.


What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Relevant financial reporting experience with a large financial institution, ideally in a Group capacity.
  • Understanding of external disclosure requirements for large organizations, preferably in financial services.
  • Familiarity with consolidation and Saracen is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRSs and awareness of best practices in financial reporting.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and challenge existing procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to convey financial issues to management and senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience managing teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing process optimisation or automation is beneficial.
