The Turmeric Co. is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Operations Manager/Director to oversee and optimise our production processes. This critical role involves driving operational efficiencies, ensuring high quality and safety standards, and delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs). As the Operations Manager/Director, you will set clear objectives aligned with our company vision, hold the team accountable, and drive execution to support the company’s growth and innovation goals. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans aligning with The Turmeric Co.’s growth objectives. Focus on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and process optimisation. 
  • Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Utilise Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. 
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Implement robust quality control measures. 
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets. 
  • Health & Safety: Promote a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations and best practices. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and other departments to support product development and market expansion. 
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure quality and reliability. 
  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology and automation to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation. 
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for new processes, products, or raw materials. 
  • Customer Focus: Ensure operations are aligned with customer needs and expectations, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty. 


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Experience: Extensive experience in a senior operations role, preferably within the food and beverage industry. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable. 
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving accountability. 
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities focusing on data-driven decision-making. 
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization. 
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain management software, and other relevant technologies. 
  • Lean Six Sigma: Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
