The Turmeric Co. is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Director to lead our financial operations and join our Leadership Team. This critical role involves overseeing all financial activities, driving financial planning and analysis, and ensuring the company’s financial health and growth. The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in setting financial strategies, delivering on key performance indicators (KPIs), and holding the organization accountable to achieve its financial objectives. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong vision to drive execution and support the company’s long-term goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to support The Turmeric Co.’s growth objectives. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure accurate financial projections and effective resource allocation.
- Reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Oversee internal and external audits.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability and integrity. Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance. Provide regular financial reports and insights to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Strategic Decision Making: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and other growth initiatives.
- Cost Management: Implement cost control measures and efficiency initiatives to optimize operational costs and improve profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Technology Integration: Leverage financial technology and automation to enhance financial processes, reporting, and decision-making.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Extensive experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the food and beverage or health and wellness industries. Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing complex financial operations.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and financial planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute financial strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in financial management software, ERP systems, and other relevant technologies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
