We are looking for Head of Finance & HR to join our Senior Leadership Team. The SLT are collectively accountable for the strategic direction of the company and its performance. The Head of Finance & HR is responsible for the financial performance of the company and its associated reporting, and the execution of the HR strategy and oversee core areas of the HR department. Salary and responsibility will be offered according to experience and qualifications.

Job Purpose:
As Head of Finance & HR, you will be an active member of the SLT and will be responsible for end-to-end finance and accounting functions of the company and core areas of HR including recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement and payroll.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage the company's cash flow, monitor and report on financial performance and make recommendations for improvement
- Production of monthly management accounts and balance Sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for all areas of accounts receivable including producing sale invoices, revenue reports, credit control, responding to customer invoice queries
- Oversee accounts payable which is administered by the Finance Assistant
- Banking including posting bank movements and supplier payment runs
- Work closely with SLT to produce forecast/budgets
- Continuous improvement of ERP system
- Job cost variance analysis and feedback to improve costing/estimating/BOM data using newly implemented ERP system
- Manage annual external audit
- Prepare annual statutory accounts, quarterly VAT returns and annual P11D’s
- Oversee payroll, recruitment, employee relations and all other core area’s of HR
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the financial stability and growth of the company
- Work closely with the Managing Director and other senior management to provide financial insights and advice to support the growth and success of the business
- Day to day management of finance and HR team

Other Duties:

- Oversee Facilities and IT departments and resolve any escalated issues
- Participate in company Governance and risk register alongside SLT
- Preparation of financial and HR data for board meetings

Key Skills
- Qualified accountant ACCA or CIMA with 5 years PQE
- Previous experience as FC or Head of Finance required, comfortable with end-to-end finance
- Previous HR and payroll experience advantageous
- Experience of working in manufacturing and understanding of BOM’s desirable
- Advanced knowledge of MS excel preferred
- Knowledge of Syspro or other manufacturing ERP systems highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills - able to build rapport with a diverse group of employees and stakeholders
- Proven experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure financial stability and growth
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
