KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Strategy : Develop and execute strategic plans aligning with The Turmeric Co.’s growth objectives. Focus on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and process optimisation. 
  • Leadership and Management : Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Process Optimisation : Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Utilise Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Supply Chain Management : Oversee supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. 
  • Quality and Compliance : Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Implement robust quality control measures. 
  • Budget Management : Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets. 
  • Health & Safety : Promote a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations and best practices. 
  • Performance Monitoring : Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and other departments to support product development and market expansion. 
  • Vendor Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure quality and reliability. 
  • Technology Integration : Leverage technology and automation to improve operational efficiency and drive innovation. 
  • Risk Management : Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for new processes, products, or raw materials. 
  • Customer Focus : Ensure operations are aligned with customer needs and expectations, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty. 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS  

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Experience : Extensive experience in a senior operations role, preferably within the food and beverage industry. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable. 
  • Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving accountability. 
  • Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities focusing on data-driven decision-making. 
  • Communication : Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of the organization. 
  • Project Management : Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain management software, and other relevant technologies. 
  • Lean Six Sigma : Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
