Our client is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator who is passionate about sustainability, if you are creative and have an interest in retrofit (in relation to Architecture), even better (but not essential).


As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring their educational initiatives (on the subject of sustainability and retrofit) reach and resonate with students across various schools. This role combines administrative efficiency with hands-on support, both in the office and in the schools. You’ll manage the smooth delivery of their school sessions, providing crucial administrative support to the team, and engaging directly with schools to facilitate and enhance the learning experience but also being part of the team who meet and interact with the children.


They are a passionate, focused team. You need to have a can-do attitude, a positive and approachable outlook, an ability to work with all people in different organisations, schools and businesses and able to learn and understand what they do enabling you to be a proud representative of the team and brand.


The essential skills are:


  • Highly organised and an ability to utilise Outlook to organise others. You need to be able to coordinate calendars, meetings and deliverable deadlines without being checked upon.
  • PPT and Excel competent– you will need to extract data from Excel and create visual representations on PPT to deliver during workshops and seminars and report writing
  • Creative skills: An ability to apply creativity when creating content for school workshops and delivery methods.
  • Polished and professional communication skills in both written and spoken English, ensuring effective correspondence with councils and school headteachers.
  • Confident in public speaking – to be able to speak to groups of adults and children. Its not expected you will deliver a workshop alone but you need to be supporting the workshops.
  • Understanding of the use, and how to appropriately use, social media platforms
  • An ability to work across multi-disciplined experts from students to Headteachers and council leaders.
