The role:
* The successful HR Director will be a hands-on proactive leader who is comfortable operating in a entrepreneurial, scale up lean organisation.
* The HR Director will work closely with the Managing director and the rest of the Senior Leadership team to deliver the processes and ways of working that will achieve the company vision and ensure the brand is a best-in-class employer
* Leading 1 direct report initially, the HR Director will create and deliver an effective people and culture strategy across recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement and team satisfaction.
* The HR Director will drive initiatives and projects that support business needs whilst enhancing retention and employee fulfilment
* In the role the HR Director will lead across all areas of HR from employee relations to reward and recognition to talent acquisition and succession
Ideal candidate:
* You will currently be working in a senior HR role within a UK-based luxury retail or hospitality multi-site environment.
* You may have had experience gained from large companies or smaller start up or scale up environments but you must be comfortable in a standalone role and also understand the importance of a luxury branded destination experience.
* Ideally you will have had international experience of high value luxury markets such as New York, Paris, Dubai etc
* It is essential that you can demonstrate good knowledge and expertise of HR legislation, processes and ways of working
* You will have CIPD level 5 or equivalent
* For the HR Director role you will have a collaborative, hands on approach and be confident working at board and owner level.
* You must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with directors and other stakeholders
* The HR Director must have strong numerical aptitude and excellent attention to detail along with excellent project and time management experience.
* You will take a genuine empathetic approach where culture is more important than process.
* As an individual you will have a growth mindset, be self-reflective and be a continuous learner.
