What is the role?

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare quarterly financial reports for the Executive Management Team and the Board, including detailed analysis of budget and forecast variances
  • Produce an executive summary with financial KPIs and highlights
  • Lead the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts and liaise with external auditors
  • Ensure timely submission of regulatory returns to relevant bodies and external benchmarking data
  • Collaborate with the Financial Services Manager on finance system development, focusing on systems for management accounts reporting, forecasting, and purchase ordering
  • Provide proactive finance business partnering services to operational teams, offering assistance, training, and maintaining regular communication with all budget holders
  • Contribute to the development of performance policies and procedures to uphold high standards of customer care in financial services
  • Lead, motivate, and support Assistant Management Accountants and Finance Business Partner to deliver a professional, customer-focused service
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the management team

This role is offering a salary of circa £67,000 per annum, with heavily remote working – Aylesbury based.

What do you need to succeed?

  • A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Team Management
  • Housing background would be desirable
