Salary: £33,000 per annum with sleeps shift pattern 1 day on 2 days off
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Support Worker to lead and support our team in providing high-quality care to children and young people in our residential homes. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of person-centred care and therapeutic support, contributing to a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment that promotes healing and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, support, and mentor a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care to children and young people.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans and therapeutic strategies in line with the recovery model.
* Support children and young people in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviours.
* Ensure the home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.
* Build trusting relationships with children and young people to facilitate their emotional and psychological well-being.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, social workers, and educational staff.
* Conduct regular team meetings, supervisions, and appraisals to ensure staff development and adherence to best practices.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
* Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping, report writing, and scheduling.
Requirements:
* Significant experience working in a Residential Children's Home.
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (required);
* Valid driving license.
* Strong understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties, social emotional mental health, and trauma.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
* Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
