Personal Trainer (CIMSPA Professional Standard) - Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire

Hours: 22.5 hours per week - Mon / Tues / Weds (Some evening and weekend hours may be required)

Grade: Competitive (Opportunity for overtime with the potential to earn +£30,000 in addition to base line salary)

This appointment will be made subject to the terms and conditions of employment of Aberdeen Sports Village.

Please note that interviews are scheduled for week commencing Monday 26th August however, arrangements can be made to accommodate any scheduling conflicts if necessary.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced personal trainer ready to inspire others on their fitness journey.

Purpose:

As a Personal Trainer at Aberdeen Sports Village, you will have the opportunity to engage with clients on a one-on-one basis, lead invigorating group exercise classes, and collaborate with sports clubs and corporate clients to elevate their fitness levels to new heights.

Description of Duties:

  1. Maximise the customer experience within the Health and Fitness setting through consistent engagement and ensure customer expectations and aspirations are fully catered for.
  2. Analysis of clients needs, adapt and modify guidance to motivate clients to positively change their behaviour and improve overall wellbeing by providing tailored advice.
  3. Support safe and enjoyable use of the fitness facility environment through carrying out inductions for new users to the facility, ensuring customers can use the equipment and associated management systems.
  4. Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning tasks of the gym facility and its equipment in line with agreed schedule including monitoring and maintenance of a high standard of hygiene throughout the fitness facilities.
  5. Monitor and review the effectiveness of the exercise programme to ensure it is engaging, varied and progressive to the customers' needs and goals, whilst following the principles of training.
  6. Provide a high standard, client focused service through excellence in the fitness environment and application of best practice.
  7. Deliver a variety of group exercise classes to customers to ASV brand standards.
  8. Deliver 1 to 1 personal training and small group training, where appropriate and generate personal training revenue in line with budgets and set targets each month.
  9. An understanding of business, finance, sales and marketing is also essential to enable the personal trainer to build and retain our customers.
  10. Complete health assessments and fitness testing for all types of customers where appropriate via the appropriate channels.
  11. Maintain and develop key partnerships with the stakeholders and other key players such as schools, clubs and sports teams in the Health and Fitness setting.
  12. Ensuring customer engagement is at the forefront of what they do by contacting high risk customers and maintaining a positive & friendly interaction with every gym user. i.e. new joiners.
  13. Actively seek and encourage customer feedback in line with company focus in adherence to KPI's and inform management via the relevant channels.
  14. Ensure that they play a key part in the customer journey by assisting with facility tours if/where applicable in conjunction with the customer service team.
  15. Develop and maintain a high level of industry knowledge through regular CPD on a quarterly & yearly basis to keep up with industry standard of delivery achieving CIMSPA recommendations.
  16. Ensure qualifications are kept valid including First Aid & CPR requirements.
  17. Become visual as a "brand ambassador" and represent Aberdeen Sports Village via outreach and networking opportunities where required.
  18. Achieve and deliver set KPI's allocated monthly in line with company standards directed from management.
  19. Perform the core duties of a Personal Trainer, as required, and any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager.
